Job Description :

As a Software Engineer at Mastercard, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications in the financial services sector. You will work on backend development, API integrations, cloud computing, and security enhancements while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role requires expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices, ensuring that applications are scalable, efficient, and secure. You will be part of an Agile development team, contributing to product development, testing, and deployment while ensuring compliance with industry security standards.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build and optimize REST APIs and Microservices for secure and scalable systems.
  • Work with databases such as MySQL, PL/SQL, Hibernate, and JPA.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Sonar, and other DevOps tools.
  • Ensure application security and compliance with Mastercard’s policies.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies like Scrum, Sprint Planning, and Retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with global teams for integration, testing, and deployment.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
  • Experience with REST API development and backend logic implementation.
  • Knowledge of Databases (MySQL, PL/SQL, Hibernate, JPA).
  • Familiarity with Frontend Technologies (React.js / Angular – Preferred).
  • Cloud Platform Knowledge (AWS, Azure, or GCP – Preferred).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Sonar, Tomcat).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for team coordination.
