About the Role:
IBM Software is seeking a talented Java Fullstack Developer to join the Db2 for z/OS team. In this role, you will develop modernization tools, resolve customer issues, and deliver high-quality enhancements to support IBM’s cutting-edge database solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, SQL, JavaScript, React.js, Redux, TypeScript, Node.js, Db2, Jenkins, JUnit, and Jest, along with a strong understanding of RDBMS concepts and Agile development practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new features and enhancements for Db2 modernization tools.
- Resolve customer issues by delivering high-quality, reliable solutions based on requirements.
- Ensure product quality through rigorous debugging, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with global teams, including developers based in the U.S.A.
- Follow Agile software development processes to deliver software on time and with high reliability.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Java, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React.js, Redux, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Experience with Db2, Jenkins, JUnit, Jest, and WebDriverIO (WDIO).
- Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts and client-server architecture.
- Familiarity with GitHub and Agile software development processes.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- IBM Certified: Db2 for z/OS Fundamentals or similar certification (preferred).
- Knowledge of IBM System Z, Db2 for z/OS, Db2 Objects, and application development (preferred).
