As a Web Developer at Canonical, you will collaborate with UX designers, visual designers, and developers to build engaging web applications that align with open-source principles. You will develop, maintain, and optimize high-performance web projects while ensuring accessibility, SEO best practices, and cross-device compatibility.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop modern, high-fidelity websites and web applications using HTML, CSS (SCSS), JavaScript (React, TypeScript).

  • Collaborate with UX and visual designers to create intuitive user experiences.
  • Manage incoming requests for updates and ensure the web style guide is followed.

Required Skills & Experience :

  • Experience working on modern web applications.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS (SCSS), and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript component libraries and TypeScript.
  • Experience building responsive UIs for different devices and browsers.
  • Proficiency in Git or other version control systems.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards.
  • Strong understanding of web performance optimization.
  • Ability to collaborate with UX, designers, and back-end developers.
  • Curiosity for technology and a thirst for learning.
  • Based in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) or Asia-Pacific time zones.
